More CJ pics

Here we are at the end of week 1 (and part-way into week 2) and we are slowly adjusting to the new things in life (and appreciating the old things like 10 hours sleep with no awakening - not that we didnt anticipate such changes, but living it is slightly different). I'm still full of aches and pains from my neck down, but things have improved a lot in that department over the last 10 days and I certainly am thrilled with the 10kg (21 pound) weight-loss since my last doctors visit before CJ was born! I didnt put on anywhere near that being pregnant so that's even better! We have been so lucky to have Mother (and Dad) here with us and I have been completely spoiled with Mother doing ALL the household things plus attending to me and giving me "tips and tricks" as Jamie calls them about baby-things whenever I ask (which is very often!). I took some pictures of Cooper today that we might use for the official 'baby announcement' but can't resist putting one of them on here....

Jamie bought this Winnie-the-Pooh so we can see how much CJ grows! So this is picture No 1. Posted by Picasa

The Finchling arrives!

We are excited to report that Cooper James Finch arrived in the big 'outside' world at 5.48pm Tuesday 28th November (EST in USA). He weighed 8 lbs, 5 oz and was 21 inches long. After a lengthy arrival process, he was whisked off to neonatal intensive care for 24 hours (which was very trautamic for his parents, especially his mother). 24 hrs after that, we were allowed home from hospital (at 11.30pm!) and have been having a wonderful time getting to know him. Apart from a fractured collarbone sustained during the delivery, he is just perfect in every way and we are so very happy to have him with us. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers along the way - we needed and appreciated them very much.
