St Patrick's Day Parade

Bay City is full of Catholics (many of them of either Irish or Polish descent) so a St Patrick's Day in the middle of Lent is a big deal! There is a parade on the Sunday nearest to the day every year and people come from miles around to either be in it or to watch. The parade goes down Center Ave, about 100 metres from our house. So we got CJ all rugged up and set off to watch it this year....

The fire engines were parked just near our house so that was very exciting for a small boy... and the next day he rediscovered his Christmas fire-engine from Aunty Jac-Jac and Uncle Hugh (see pic at end) which he is SO into.
Jamie liked this Hummerzine - it's just what he has in mind if we have another 14 children (hah - fat chance, I think he forgets that his wife will be turning 40 this year....!!) Here are some of the sights and sounds of the parade...

Cold Winter

It has been a cold Winter with a lot of snow so we are looking forward to the trip down-under that we booked last week!!!

Here is a pic of the icicles hanging off part of the house - the longest one was about 2 metres long!!!

Also check out the depth of the snow we had a few weeks ago....
