First snow!

We had some snowflakes mixed with rain yesterday, and this morning we awoke to the ground being covered with snow! We are in Tawas - this time staying in a hotel for the week because someone else is in the work condominium and the other one we use is rented out for the week. Our room overlooks the lake (the beach is about 5 metres away) and there is a thin layer of snow between the hotel and the lake. Very beautiful. It is unlikely to melt today because the temperature today is forecast to be below freezing with not much sun. We are heading home to Bay City today as Jamie has a work meeting in Saginaw this evening so we will stay at home tonight and tomorrow he will drive back for the day. The distance is about 90 min each way, but there is another smaller hospital (Standish) that he stops at that's about half-way so that will break the journey in the morning. -VF
