Updating.... - VF

Well, we have been so busy of late that we havent had a chance to do much blogging so I'm about to make a huge effort to change that over the next day or so. We had our visit to NZ for 3 weeks in April which was just fantastic, then came back whilst Jamie worked for 10 days before finishing his contract at ADI where he has been for 2 years. For various reasons he decided not to accept the offer of partnership again (they offered it to him in May last year but we deferred it whilst we thought about the idea and did some 'due diligence' on the matter!). He officially finished on May 8th and so is currently having an extended holiday! This has been great for me to have him home, but we have also managed to get a lot done both here in Bay City and at the Berkley house. We've spent time staying @ Berkley and our sister-in-law Trish was kind enough to loan us her 'pack & play' (porta-cot in NZ terms) for Cooper to sleep in whenever we are there.

Here is our official first Mother's Day picture! . I had a nice day - we went out for crepes to a French Cafe in Birmingham. Very delicious. Then we did a bit of shopping and I got some shoes to match the brown handbag that's in the picture!

Last week we went to England to visit Jac & Hugh in London for 5 days. We all had the coolest time! If you are really keen you can trawl through 100 photos of our holiday here .... Seeing as CJ traveled so incredibly well going to NZ last month, we thought we should make the most of his portability before he becomes mobile. He seemed to prefer sleeping in the Qantas basinette to the British Airways one so I ended up holding him both ways to England and using the basinette to change him in and for him to play in. It was in this that he seemed to get the hang of sitting up and can now sit for short periods. In between that we visited Jamie's mom in Lansing and stayed the night with CJ sleeping in the crib (cot) that was last slept in by his Dad!! More pics here of that.

Amazing that Cooper is now 6 months old!! He is getting more mobile by the day - seems happier lying on his tummy than previously but seems to be wiggling his arms and legs a lot in crawling-like motions (oh dear....). He has 2 teeth, the first appeared at age 5 mths, 1 day and the 2nd a week later. Now that the weather is lovely we have been going out walking every day with CJ in his NZ Mountain-Buggy stroller. Bay City is full of lovely big trees with lots of squirrels running up and down them.
