Valentines Day 2008

Here is a picture of the 3 dozen stunning roses that came today. I thought they were a dozen for each year we've been married and Jamie gave me a look that said "wow I wish I had thought of that, but no that was the deal I found online!!!". Pictures of flowers never do them justice, but they do look very amazing on the windowsill with the white snow outside. We have had a lot of snow over the last few weeks and some parts of the front lawn are about half a metre deep in snow. On Valentines Day eve we had the neighbours over for dinner. I made black-bean soup, some gourmet nachos and Jamie made an incredibly amazing chocolate soufflé (complete with a little liquid chocolate 'bomb' in the centre!). I thought he was rather brave to attempt a new recipe when people were coming for dinner (and a soufflé which can't be made in advance!!) and we were all very impressed when they came out so well. So impressed in fact that we didnt even have a chance to take a photo as they vanished rather quickly!

Beautiful roses against the backdrop of snow. Your son is absolutely adorable! I've enjoyed your blog.
